I had the opportunity to get a beforehand showing of the newly renovated South Forest River House, located in South Knoxville. With the continuous influx of people flooding East TN, it has become an inconvenience to secure reliable, affordable housing that gives you the "home away from home" atmosphere. 

As a prior travel nurse of 3 years, I know the impact the right living space can have on your overall experience in a new location, as well as your mental health in regards to being away from home and loved ones. The owners of South Forest River House have spared no small effort when it comes to the attentiveness of the small details that allow a tenant to feel safe and comfortable while providing a unique living experience. The house contains six bedrooms, four baths, two kitchens and two laundry rooms, making the house suitable for both individual or group housing for tenants involved on UT campus or surrounding medical institutions. 

Each room is creatively named after one of the local rivers in East TN and is equipped with a programmable keypad entry, smart TV, Hi speed internet,  and mini split HVAC system. That's right! You can control your own heating/air which who doesn't want that? The entire house is fully furnished and offers two comfy den areas to mingle with fellow tenants. Each bathroom is assigned to two occupants to avoid overcrowding. Individual pricing is available for each room depending on size and extra amenities, such as a private bathroom. All utilities and garbage pickup are included. However, the best part is that River House offers short-term leases, 3 to 6 months, perfect for any traveling medical profession. 

If I have not sold you on the house yet, did I mention the location is central to enjoying some of East TN's greatest wildernesses adventures, as well as being conveniently located to the heart of the city, downtown Knoxville? So whether you want to enjoy an entire day of hiking/biking with some of the most breathtaking scenes or you want to experience the city life with unique restaurants and entertainment, this house provides you with a living experience that is minutes from both.
